  • Miscellaneous notes
  • Other Droody Things in Wildwood
  • Tiral Stonehurler - Marcus only
  • The Kalikos Cult in the Grey Mountains - Pan and Agvan only

  • Miscellaneous notes

Agvan, Gelert, Manish have now served their time and may apply for initiateship etc in 7M

Sea 1622 - Kimosa the dark dryad comes round. Wants a table; and curious. Shedding spores.

    Other Droody Things in Wildwood

  • Hippy droods with hazia plot.
  • Carry on to Esk, warned about avoiding Lepidos. See Tyrydd Pegleg, the fellow with the wooden leg, and an elf. Elves are unknown in most of Carmania due to the anti-Lunar Greenleaf Alliance terrorists of Rathorela, so this is extraordinary: PCs thought they were automatically enemies. See the Drood King & guards.
  • PCs see a set of very anthropomorphic trees in the inner woods: remains of Tyloris and his Danfive Xaron legion.
  • Drood with wooden leg: Tyrydd Pegleg. When his leg was regenerated after an accident, it came back as part of a tree!
  • New tree types, eg Oristree: evergreen excellent firewood; Maimon tree, pollarded to force it to grow masses of luscious red fruit; Yiros larch, bark makes good paper; trees being tapped for sap. The sap is made into a hideous wine which Droods love but no-one else can stomach.
  • Due to their matriarchal polyandry, the females have a reputation as being 'easy' and know it, so if an outsider seems to expect an easy lay, the old women demand he sleeps with them. If he refuses it is a severe breach of Drood custom (older women have more status - they have more bangles) and he is shunned by all the women. It is considered good sport to set the most hideous hags upon the crassest visitors.
  • Darkwyd... a different style of Droodism here; a communal long house, different dialect, almost deserted at present (most off for the big ceremony). Sex can be offputting in these public circumstances.

  • Tiral Stonehurler

    Marcus Only

One of Marcus' Rathori friends, Tiral Stonehurler... marries a Rathori lass, Janni, in SeaSeason(Daughter of Grizzly Tribe high chief - major story here which PCs may stumble across one day.) Meanwhile, he has found out some things about Oramis and Unuk-Halai. There is a man he has located, Yelsi Farshouter of the Angry Clan, who follows UH (he has a blemish forming: Tiral spotted it in his sleep), so Tiral is keeping a close eye on him to find out what he's up to. Also, he had a vision of some carvings in a cliff which warn of UH somehow; he's asking around about such, ... and he is preparing to go on a heroquest in a couple of years, to research the history of the matter. After marriage, he will go into the Heartwood, the Hero Place (Infinite Rathorela), as a preliminary.

The Kalikos Cult in the Grey Mountains (Storm 1621)

    Pan and Agvan Only

Due to file corruption much of this data has been lost, but from memory:

Pan (initiate in 7 Mothers) and Agvan (initiate in Lodril, lay member in 7M) expressed an interest in Kalikos Icebreaker's cult. Adventurous idiots who are willing to volunteer for dangerous duties are always in short supply, so their Lunar priest assigned them to act as porters / guards for the annual pilgramage of Kalikos priests who do battle with Ice Demons each winter. In fact Pan & Agvan know some of these priests already because none are full-time Kalikos worshippers, they tend to be Associate Priests fom other lunar cults.

They travelled into the grey mountains with: The "Disciples" (quasi-priests) 'Kalikos': Embelos; 'Rokaris': Shadrach; 'Alys': Kielos; 'Menkar': Randus; 'Ulathor': Father Myalor, from Thule. Each Disciple represents one of The Five Heroes (Kalikos, etc.) in rituals. Embelos is the leader. Also normal initiates, some uninterested in Kalikos but serving (e.g.) 7M cult duties: Mendos, Bellion, Candoris, Agatharsis, Pan, Agvan.

In the mountains they travelled through driving snow & sleet to a glacier , where a fight ensued with Hollri (Ice Demons). Pan & Agvan aquitted themselves well. Heard again the story of Kalikos' Lover

Loot from the 2 Hollri they shattered:

  • A jewel of unmelting ice. It twinkles like a quartz crystal, with a blue sheen. It is very hard and can scratch bronze. It looks rare, but being cool to the touch, and possibly of finite lifetime, may reduce its market value.
  • -12 coins of ice with Darkness / Ice symbols on their faces... these melted. A bronze flask of potent blue liquor - warms you up! Non magical.
  • A large fragment of one shattered demon-body is marked thus, like a "tattoo" carved in its skin of ice: then, you realise it is a scroll of pliable ice, resting amongst the fragments of its body! -
  • They copied it before it melted.

Pan also caught sight of a ruin in the distance, across the glacier:
