Krarshtkid Queen
First Impressions
A huge (SIZ 30), leathery, writhing, rank-smelling starfish with extra
mouths at various parts of its anatomy. Its hide is tattooed with runes
such as Undeath (aka Hunger in RQ3), Mobility and Stasis. It does not appear
friendly when meeting Lawful PCs. Sticky strands of mucous are visible
in its maw.
Referee Only
Whatcha mean, you never heard of intelligent Krarshtkids? All RQ2 Krarshtkids
were sentient, it's just that you never saw any Chaosium scenarios where
they used their brains. Mine all have spells, some have 1-use rune magic
and they are invariably the majority of worshippers in any Krarsht temple.
This monster should strip some SAN off your PCs if they see it...
Character Traits
Very manipulative. Avoids sunlight / Sunbright. Instinctively attacks
the most Lawful member of a party first.

Attacks (all 3 each round)
- (SR 1) Spit 90% (110% with spells) hurls
expanding glob of sticky pink Pratzim onto 3x3 metre area. Roll STR vs
15 to free self, otherwise victim is bound: cannot use any weapon: can
hop at MR2.
- (SR 6) Tongue 90% (110% with spells) 4d3 Disrupt. Requires
POW vs POW roll but countermagic is ineffective as the tongue physically
touches victim.
- (SR 7) Bite 90% attack (130% with Chomping 2 & Irontooth
4); damage 3d6 + 2d6 (Chomping 2) + 4 (Irontooth) + snake venom 19 (from
Venom Bite) + paralysing poison (if successful, victim paralysed
for 20-CON days)
Defense: 0%

bounds + 17 in Krarshtide ally)

crystal gives her Dispel 14, which she uses lavishly to knock down Rune
spells.

Special Abilities
- Attuned crystal (flawed): spell doubler, 7 POW. Afflicts attuner with
light sensitive skin (1 general HP damage per round exposed to sunlight).
- No chaos features.
- Krarshtkids can spring prodigious distances in the open. They do not
need light to see (no eyes - use 'Hunger Sense') and use Darkness tactically.
- Sense Law skill is 100%.
Allied Spirit
This is a Krarshtide (a free floating spirit) which can initiate Spirit
Combat to strip d6 SAN / success from victims.
