Scrupio the Gladiator
First Impressions
Short, squat, powerfully built fellow with black hair, beard. Fast.
Lash-marks on back. Weapon scars on arms. Carries a net, spear and bolas.
Armoured in the Thracian style (torso and head only).

Escapee gladiator who worships Myridos as a tough leader you can depend
on. Not like those hated owners who train their slaves as gladiators to
die. "But we showed them when we escaped... ha, I enjoyed raping his
daughter and killing her before doing the same to him."
Scrupio has been totally brutalised by his Gladiatorial training and
is difficult for Myridos to control. Scrupio doesn't really believe there
is any chance of getting home to Balazar and just wants to cause as much
havoc for the Lunars as a bandit as he can.
There is a price on his head.

Thracian style (heavy armour) as well as Retarius, though.

Special Abilities
- As a gladiator, he is immune to pain. In game terms this means he is
not affected by shock (loss of limb, etc); limbs are non-vital locations,
wounds do not count against total HP; fatigue has little effect on
him; his fighting style can switch to all-out attack if necessary to take
advantage of an opening, he doesn't hang back because it's dangerous.
- A gladiator is trained to take advantage of the critical first second
when an opponent isn't sure whether you mean to attack them or not, or
whether they really want to attack the gladiator. Lightning reactions and
total commital usually lead to the first blow, all else being equal.
- If there's time, likes to smear himself in a little oil before combat.
- Has a vial of oil which he uses to smash on an enemy.
